It's clear I have a "problem" with the color gray (see here, here, and here for further examples). Gray has been my favorite color since at least 1999. It's my safety color- not as stark as black, not as earthy as brown or khaki. It's like a magnet pull. I see something gray and I want to buy it. Currently in my closet I have 6 different gray sweaters- I don't care who you are, that's too many.
I go through phases where I have to outlaw purchasing gray items for my wardrobe. People crease their brows when you say gray is your favorite color. "Really," they will say thoughtfully, "but that's so... depressing."

Gray's not depressing at all! It's one of my favorite colors as well and I own a lot of it. It's Kevin's favorite color too and I think he owns about 95% gray shirts/sweaters.
I love how you paired the grey with the purple, such a pretty combo! I too enjoy grey in the winter so I'm trying really hard to incorporate more color into my wardrobe. Confession, my fav color to wear is black, which is way more depressing than grey. (I can't help it after being a New Yorker).

My favorite color is green but my favorite color to wear is brown, I guess. I have more brown than anything else. :)
I LOVE GRAY!! I agree - not as stark as black. And it goes with anything - my current obsession is warm gray and taupe. Love.
That is a great skirt for $5! At least your favorite color is a grown-up color. If society allowed me, I'd probably dress like a 5 year old and wear bubble gum pink everyday.

I have to be conscious about not buying only black and gray items, I usually have to force/remind myself to buy some color. My closet looks a lot more colorful than it did a few years ago I had only black, tan, gray, and a few white pieces....snooze right?

I've never met anyone else who said gray was their favorite color. I know exactly what look you're talking about when someone asks you what your favorite color is.. I kind of laugh to myself whenever someone asks because I know the look I'm about to get. I LOVE GRAY! :) Cute outfit by the way.. gray & purple go great together. I love gray & turquoise together too!
