Thankful Thursday: My Mother-in-Law

It's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I feel like I have so much to be thankful for this week. Not to talk about her ad nauseum, but it seems natural to thank my mother-in-law Sandra this week. She's earned it.

Dear Sandra,

I guess I should start by thanking you for raising such a kind and considerate and patient son. I know I've got a winner, and I know he was raised well! Thank you for being so generous with your time and talents. Thank you for inviting us into your home and doing so much for us. You spoil us every time we stay here!

It's funny- yesterday I said something about heading to my in-laws' house and a co-worker grimaced, "Ugh. How awful!" But then she stopped herself and said, "Oh, yeah, I forgot that you didn't mind your mother-in-law." This particular relationship (wife and mother to beloved man) can often be awkward and strained, but I think we've grown into ours quite nicely.

And thank you for bringing me my lunch Wednesday! You are a lifesaver!

Love you.

LOVING this Old Navy skirt- I think I'm going to be wearing it A LOT this spring!

Pretty striped skirt! It's really great that you get along so well with your MIL. I get along well with mine but occasionally she does some crazy things (like invite herself on our vacations! Then we awkwardly have to tell her she can't come).

Love!!! Love the skirt. I have some old navy rewards to spend, is the skirt a recent buy? And you're not alone, I have a good relationship with my MIL too. :) I'm divorced, but I see her more now than when I was married. She's like my second mother.

I bought that skirt in yellow/grey but I looked awful in it because of the awkward length so it went back :/

Not only are we 'bliends' for ever but we're also skirt twins! Picked the same skirt up {only in yellow} last night and saw this post today! Great minds think alike!
