How Do I Love Thee?

Photos by Jam

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace....

- Elizabeth Barrett Browning

I'm not going to get all mushy today. I did that with my Thankful Thursday, and no one needs me gushing anymore about my husband! But suffice to say, I do love him, not only on Valentine's Day, but every other day too!

Today as we celebrate love, I thought I'd share a list of things I love (in no specific order, just what came to mind!)

Let me count the ways:

1. Kit Kat Bars
2. Hot Showers
3. Mid-Morning Naps
4. Dr. Pepper
5.Good Hair Days
6. Massages
7. Manicures and Pedicures
8. Sitting in Bed and Reading Blogs
9. Watching TV with Seanie and Curtis
10. Eating

If there was any doubt to the extent of my laziness the above list ought to really clear things up! I also love my new scarf, suede wedges, and cocktail ring I'm wearing in these pictures! I got them at Cato's over the weekend for a great deal, and I was super excited to wear them all today :0

Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day filled with love and friendship! I am eating dinner with my best friend because we haven't seen each other in weeks! What are you doing?

Today, I am hanging out with a friend and her 3 yr old daughter. We're getting our nails done (not as pencil erasers) and will probably end up eating lunch somewhere, not sure. Then I have to pick up my daughter after school, run by the grocery store for a few items and come home to spend the evening with my children. Les is out of town tonight for work but we have spent the last week together so can't complain.

Great casual outfit with pops of red. Your list of loves makes me want to drink Dr. Pepper and read blogs in bed:)

How was the Indian food? There's an Indian place here we just discovered over the weekend that has a buffet! We can't wait to try it!

I love the literary references. *nerd alert* I'm an English major. I used to want to teach and then I was reminded how much teenagers can get on my nerves, despite wanting to spread my love for literary masterpieces.

I'm so very glad to have found you!

AH, an English major! I knew I liked you ;) Working with teens is definitely the hardest part of my job (ha) they have little respect for the classics, so it is rewarding to get them to admit something was good!!

Right now I'm having a hard enough time convincing my husband to read classic short stories and he actually likes to read! I cannot even imagine how frustrated I would get with people who claim my favorite works (aka my best friends) are stupid or pointless. I am in a world lit class right now with people who couldn't care less about other cultures or the information in the readings. It's infuriating!

I can imagine you being a very enthusiastic, inspiring type of teacher. I hope that your students appreciate you!

Hi Katie,
I came across your blog yesterday and I LOVE IT. Thank you for putting yourself out there for all of us plus size girls. I love your style, especially this red and grey outfit. I was wondering where you bought the jeans you are wearing.

PS. I teach grade two.
