I've been dragging out spring clothes and reveling in open toe shoes (though I desperately need a pedicure- so don't look too closely!). I'm sure you will have another cold snap but for now I am baring my legs and arms, and loving it!
This dress is currently available at Old Navy, and it is a winner. I NEVER do on-line reviews, but when I put this one on, I immediately logged onto Old Navy for a review. The fit is flattering. The colors are lovely. I know this one is going to get a lot of wear this summer and spring.
One last thing- I *may* be on the market for a new camera, so I am asking for suggestions. What camera do you use? Do you like it? I am on a budget; I can't spend anymore than $700- and that's reallllly pushing it. All suggestions are welcome, especially if you are knowledgeable. I can barely work my point and shoot!

Katie, how serious do you want to get about photography? By your statement, "I can barely work my point and shoot", I don't think a dslr is the way to go. Yes, they have lots of automatic settings but to really get use for the money you spend on them, you need to move into setting aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc. I would suggest one of the Nikon Coolpix L series point and shoots or a Canon PowerShot. They are not that expensive and will give you a lot of bang for your buck. Nikon's L120 looks pretty good to me. I haven't used it but if I was in the market for a point and shoot, I'd definitely check it out. Les uses a Canon PowerShot for work. It has an "easy" button that takes really good pictures at the click of the shutter. My last point and shoot was a Fujifilm and it worked really well, too, and was a great stepping stone from a camera that did it all for me to one that I could start learning about different settings before spending a lot more money. As far as dslr goes, I have the Nikon D5000. I bought mine (factory refurbished) on Ebay from Celltime, Inc in Brooklyn, NY. I paid $680 and it came with the 18-55 mm kit lens, some uv filters, macro filters, a bag, and battery w/charger. I also have a 3 year warranty from the store and when I had some issues back in November, I sent it in and it was repaired by Nikon because I had a one year warranty with them as well. I bought a second battery on Amazon for under $20. However, I can take hundreds of photos on one charge. I love the D5000 and with adding on better lenses when I get the opportunity it should last me a long time. I take a lot more pictures than the average user. Hope this helps! If I can answer any questions just let me know!
Such a pretty floral dress! I love spring because you can just put on a dress and you're out the door. It seems to take me forever to put on winter layers! I don't have any camera recs because my camera is old and not the greatest. :(

I HAVE THOSE EXACT SHOES! :) That was my first thought upon seeing the picture. Also, your dress is gorgeous. You rock that dress and make it look absolutely fantastic.

I love the colors of your dress, and yes, the weather is great!
I haven't broken out the open toe shoes yet, but I am going bare legged.
I think Old Navy did a great job with their summery dress collection. I love all of it.
I'm not a camera expert, but I use a Canon S95 for my photos. It's a point and shoot, but it has a ton of manual settings. It's my warm up for a DSLR.

I agree with one of the commenters about the camera - you probably don't need a SLR. My friend just got a new point and shoot and he absolutely loves it. He is an avid photographer and has multiple SLR cameras. I believe it this one:

but I will check with him to be sure. It shoots in RAW as well, if you end up really getting into editing, RAW is the way to go. Really make editing easy - much easier than editing your typical jpeg. When we went to the Zoo with the kids a few weeks ago, he took better pics with that camera than I did with my SLR!!! Bottom line, unless you are planning to really learn how to use the functions of your camera, don't go with an expensive camera.
As for that dress, I logged on to the ON site before I even finished reading your post before I finished reading it. I love the black, but I'm wondering what you think about the fit. Several reviews say to order a size down, but I'm always quite leery of that. What do you think?
I love those shoes. They are seriously at least one size too big, but I don't care. They are comfortable and look great with so many things!
I am definitely enjoying the weather! It's great!
Thank you so much Rachel! I am so overwhelmed with all the camera choices!
Camera wise, I just really want one I can use a wireless remote with for self-portraits! Does yours do that?
And you are so right about ON's dresses. They are awesome! I want all of them :)
What a beautiful dress! I love the print! I use a DSLR. You can get the Canon Rebel for around $700 at Costco. It's very easy to use on the auto settings, but by using it and practicing and reading a couple of tips, you can start to shoot manually. I think it was definitely a worth while investment.
Thank you for the feedback! That's what I'm definitely leaning towards... but it's very overwhelming!
Beautiful dress and from our fave store!! :)
LOVE that dress - currently have the web page up and considering it as a purchase...
I shoot with a Canon Rebel XS, which is relatively old (a few years, which is VERY old in the camera world) and I got it off Amazon for about 400 dollars I believe. They are very intimidating, but if you are willing to put in the time and effort they slowly get easier to use. (And you can always shoot on the AUTO settings, which still turn out great pictures!) Hope this helps! :]]] Oh, and if you want to see what I've been taking with my Rebel, just check out my blog (html below).

Ohhh I LOVE this dress on you, Katie! The color, print and fit are awesome. Also loving those shoes, and I need a pedicure as well... my feet are GROSS right now.
I hate when I wake up thinking it's Friday, or even worse is when you wake up thinking it's the weekend and you sleep through your alarm 4 times.
And the insole is so soft! It's like walking on air!
Definitely one of the best pair of shoes I own!
Waking up on a Monday and thinking it's Saturday is definitely the worst feeling!
Thank you for the compliments on the dress- I wish it came in more colors!
Hope you decided to get it- Definitely worth it!
Thank you so much for the camera advice! I will definitely check out what you've been doing!

Thank you! Thank you! And you are right about the length! It's prefect, especially for work or more formal occasions. I didn't spend the entire day tugging at my hem :)
Very pretty dress I love this color on you! Also I like the lighting in these pictures! <3
So lovely on you! I've been eyeing this dress on the Old Navy website, however it wasn't until I saw it on you that I decided to buy it. So glad I did. You should be a professional model!
Wow! Thank you so much! It's a great deal and a comfy dress, perfect for spring and summer!
