I personally love them, although I am dealing with a hellacious cowlick on the left hand side! I am no stranger to haircuts! I love hair and I love trying different looks- sometimes with lots of success, sometimes with disastrous results. But it's just hair! It'll grow back, I promise. As a teacher, I have to learn to use humor and self-deprecation to relate to the students. I share this story EVERY year, and my students love it and proceed to tease me about it for the rest of the year.
In fifth grade I was in LOVE. His name was Bronson- and he was tall (for a fifth grader), had a dazzling smile, and some of the best hair I had ever seen (at the time). It was shiny and straight and brown and cut in the popular early 90s "bowl cut". I was smitten. So I went to the hair salon and asked for the same hair cut. My mom was fine with it. In hindsight, I can't decide if that was cruel on her part or super fashion forward. The hair piled around the chair and then I was freshly shorn! I loved it!

You will love having bangs - I made the plunge a few years ago and am so glad I did. They look great. And I love the dress!

The bangs look great! Love that first photo.
And look at you in an adorable thrifted dress, I'm so proud :)
Now I can't take full credit, since my mom found the thrifted dress, but I am pretty sure it's one of my most favorite dresses ever of all time. It is so flattering and well made!
I was too chicken too! But then I just said, "What the hell. Just do it!" I like having some hair on my face now that I've gotten used to it...Maybe I should let my beard grow out ;)
Thank you so much! They are pretty fun!
Thank you for the encouragement. I do like having the hair around my face, softens things a bit... I just gotta get that cowlick under control!
I love the bangs! They frame your face beautifully :)

I love the bangs! I don't know what it is about bangs, but I think they always look super sexy. Maybe it's the Betty Page image in my head.
I'm so scared to get full bangs because I remember spending YEARS as a kid trying to grow out my bangs. I wanted that long middle parted hippie look. I went through an awkward bang stage, but I realize now it was just side swept bangs before they were popular!

The bangs look amazing on you, Katie! I had a side bangs a few years ago. I loved them but I was cursing them once I realized how often I had to get them cut!

Thank you, Keesha!
Thanks, Sarah
Right! I loved the side swept, so I don't think I'll mind the growing out too much, but I remember hating bangs as a kid too!
I know they have to be cut often- that's aggravating. But I am super lucky because my BFF cuts my hair, so I can just slide it into our regular visits... "Hey, BFF, that movie was great.. wanna cut my bangs?" Hopefully she won't ever say no!!
Love your bangs!!! Looks amazing on you! Love your dress too :)

Love your bangs! We are flip-flopping bangs right now, I just decided to grow my full bang out to a side sweep for the summer :)
I had/have a wicked bang cow lick...I fight it by immediately wrapping my bangs around one large Velcro roller after washing my hair. Once it's dry I can flatten the poof a little and my bangs are great all day - hope that helps :)
Hello! Thank you so much for your super sweet comment... and your bangs are gorgeous!! Yay, what a wonderful look + this dress is adorable too! xo
Wow, this is an amazing look on you! Happy one-month Blog Anniversary!!

That's so funny! I had the same hair cut in the 5th grade!! I wanted to be like Chynna Phillips. I loved Wilson Phillips, and I wanted my hair just like Chynna's. Still can't believe my mom let me do that! One better, she let my sister get her's cut like that too, and she was in kindergarten. I love those bangs on you! You look amazing!
I bet we looked just alike! Chynna Phillips was (and is) beautiful, but when we "played" Wilson Phillips, Desiree always got to be Chynna because her hair was lighter!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for coming over to visit! I really appreciate it!
Alanna, Thanks for the tip about the Velcro roller! I'm definitely going to give that a shot!
FAB FAB FAB!! Your bangs are great! WORK IT!
love ure last look hun
Bangs definitely suit your face shape. I look awful with them, but you are adorbs! I once tried to get a pixie cut and ended up just looked more like my brother than Michelle Williams or Emma Watson.
Lovely darling! Check my new post and follow me if you want and I`ll follow back! Kisses

Bahahaha. This made me laugh so much!
Thanks!
your hair is SO darling here! Very Zooey Deschanel! :)
Thanks! Insert girly squeal here!
Loving the hair! I hear you about changing the look a lot - I usually spend most of the autumn/winter growing my hair out since I love wearing it in girly pigtails, but then around April and May I get antsy and usually end up chopping it all off in some edgy style. (The best example was when I decided to take about four inches off - a lot when you don't have tons of hair - about a week before prom. My date was so scared!!!) The more I've been thinking about it, the more I want to go spiky bangs this time...such a plunge!!!
