It's Gettin' Hot Out Herrre

Apparently Mother Nature is skipping right over spring and going into summer down here. Yesterday had to be the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures reaching near 90 degrees F in the middle of March. If this continues, the summer is going to be unbearable (by the way, did I mention the A/C is out in my car again? I already spent one miserable summer without- I don't want to do it again!).

Couple the hot weather with the return of Daylight Saving Time and you have a recipe for sizzling hot pictures. And I don't mean the kind you see in Maxim. I mean the kind of "sweat pouring down your back, in your Spanx, burning your eyes" kind of sizzling. This was the most miserable set of photos I have ever taken. Well, except Sean's first set of Christmas photos. That was pretty miserable.

So I am in search of super shady places to take pictures (and no that doesn't mean the worst parts of town)! Or you are going to be seeing a LOT of photos of me in sunglasses to hide the pained look of my eyes being burned out of my skull!

Well, I thought that last amazing dress was my favorite outfit so far, but now it's a toss up between that one and this one. I adore this one too!

It would be great if you posted where you got your great wardrobe pieces, you definitely have great taste in clothes and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to steal a bit of your style.

I have no idea where you live that it's that hot already, but yikes! That's hitting hotter than I can handle!

This dress is so very cute and I couldn't tell you were sweating it out in these pics! 90 degrees is scorching for March!

I agree with the person below, I'd love it if you posted where your clothes were from!

Jolene, thank you so much for reading and commenting! I am so excited to have you here! I am really bad about posted outfit information, so I vow to do a better job! I did update this blog with the info.

I got this dress at Cato's Fashions. I think it's a regional type store, so I'm not sure if there's one near you are not... Most of the stuff at Cato's is real hit and miss, but I am always pleased with their dresses. Sadly I got this particular dress a couple of years ago, but I was in last week and they've got tons of great graphic print style dresses available. And I love their shoes. Everything is very reasonably priced, so I like to shop there, but they don't sell online so I can't link to a website. Hope this helps! And I hope you continue to read :)

I am going to do a better job with posting my outfit info... I always forget! I got this dress at Cato's. It's a little clothing chain and I don't think it's nationwide. Have you ever heard of it?

Thanks, Annie. It's an old favorite!

Thank you! I must be a professional, because I felt miserable... of course, only three pictures made it to the blog and we took at 70 ;)
