My Colors are Blush and Bashful...

If you read fashion blogs regularly, then you know that bloggers are pretty much obsessed with colored denim right now! There are so many places to get great colored denim- Old Navy, Gap , even American Eagle has jumped on the band wagon! I found myself obsessed with a "rose"( dusty pink) pair from Gap, but I was less than thrilled with the price- $70!!!

Apparently years of living cheaply has affected me more than I realized. I physically could NOT spend $70 on a pair of skinny jeans. I just could not do it! So I started searching for cheaper alternatives. I was thrilled when I ran across this pair of skinny jeans from the Simply Vera Wang collection at Kohl's on sale for $33! Now I can handle that!

I am so pleased with this outfit. So pleased in fact that I have worn it twice in the last week, and I'm planning on wearing the pants again tomorrow! So how do you feel about the colored denim craze! Share your links!

Oh, yeah, and don't forget to vote for me over the weekend! Ten days left to vote!

Your pale pink jeans are so very pretty! I couldn't bring myself to spend $70 on jeans either (at least not color ones!) so that's awesome that you found these at Kohl's...may have to check that out. Have a great weekend, Katie!

Great jeans! I have a red pair from Loft and a turquoise pair from Gap (that I scored new for 1/2 price on ebay)... haven't worn the turquoise yet, they are BRIGHT, have to find the right moment for them. :)

A Steel Magnolias quote just to steal my heart away. :) It's the very first show I acted in as an adult, as Annelle. :)

I'm about to head over to Kohl's and search out those skinny jeans just because they look so ridiculously good on you (and with our shoes!).

Good ol' Annelle! I LOVE Steel Magnolias and it was all I could think of with these pants. Because they ARE pink, but not Pepto pink/ If they don't have 'em in stores, try online! And they definitely look great with the shoes :)

Girl, I NEED to see those turquoise babies. But I agree with you that it's BRIGHT and needs some mental preparation. Guess I need to look on ebay!

Thanks Audrey! I'm going to check out your blog!

I agree complete. With colored denim being so trendy I need it to be affordable! You have a great weekend too!

Yay! I think these lighter pastels are very safe and almost neutral, not as scary as bright colors!

Thank you Keesha!

Thanks Alicia! Get a pair!

Just the simple idea of turquoise jeans is making me antsy. Someone find them for me in a size 14 short, STAT!!! (Oh, you mean I DON'T have personal shoppers? Boo.)

Such a sweet and girly outfit! I really like the soft colors. I bought a pair of olive green pants a while back but still want something bright (and affordable).

Well, definitely not Gap! ;) Old Navy is cheapest but nothing is available in stores. Forever 21 too!

Steel Magnolias! One of my most favorite movies EVER!!! I think you need to get yourself just one pair of colored pants, and you'd change your mind!

Hah, this is so funny you wrote this since just on Friday I was going with my friend to her school's 80's dance - I was digging way back in my closet and found an old pair of neon blue skinny jeans. I'm pretty sure I bought them about five years ago and wore them for about 6 months before they went out of style - and they came back in so quickly! I'll chalk it up to my lucky chance! Hah, might have to style them on my blog soon, if only ironically... Loving your use of "light denim" :]]]
