Prettiest girl I ever seen
See her shake on the movie screen, Jimmy Dean
(James Dean)"- Rock On
I watched a lot of inappropriate television growing up. My formative childhood years were spent with Marlena and Roman (and later John Black) and Bo and Hope and the cast of Days of Our Lives, not the Muppets and Sesame Street. So sue me!

Apparently at some point, we must have watched Young and the Restless as well because all day I was humming Michael Damian's hit song "Rock On". A quick search of Wikipedia reveals that Damian released the song in 1989, so I was all of 8 years old, but I remember thinking he was the most handsome man ever, and I still know EVERY word to the song.
Embarrassing, I know! But just in case you were feeling nostalgic, I've embedded the video for your viewing and listening pleasure. I think it's held up quite nicely in the past 22 (Good Grief!!) years ;) My point is, I guess, that a great chambray dress, is like a great song. It's gets better with time and is appropriate any time of the year.
Rock on!

The chambray dress is so pretty on you, Katie! I also watched a lot of inappropriate television when I was little too. Oh well, I think we turned out just fine :)

Hi Katie! I love this dress, love the pencil skirt, and love that blue striped dress!! (I somehow missed your last two posts.) I love the ease of a dress too. It's one thing I've been meaning to add to my wardrobe the past couple of summers, but I never found many I liked. Maybe this year will be the year I hit the dress jackpot. heehee Can't wait to see what you're wearing tomorrow. Have a great Thursday! = )
We sure watched YNR at my house! Danny Romalotti sure was a hottie! I really like this dress!
I love this dress on you!!!! And these pics are great. And finally, Days of Our Lives? Girl, you just brought back a flood of memories! haha

Cute dress! My mom is super young (was 18 when she had me) so I remember watching 90210 and listening to grunge.
Beautiful dress! I like the belt, too. :) Growing up, "General Hospital" was the soap we followed ... :)
Ha! I'm old enough to remember the original version of "Rock On" by Dave Essex in the early/mid 70's! If I recall correctly, a denim dress was stylish then, too. My mom wore them all the time and she was very chic (to my little eyes, at least). I love the way you did the belt with this. It gives it a bit of boho flair.
Haha my parents only let my older sister and I watch our weird little French shows, I remember I tried to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and my mum freaked. Then we both ended up being the worst teenagers ever, whereas my little sister and brother, who both watched whatever, ended up being so good! My conclusion: the more you expose your kids to as children...the better they turn out haha.
Love love love that dress on you. Fits you like a dream, and the setting for these pics is beyond gorgeous!

I also have that same dress, I love it! I wore it a ton during the fall with off white knit tights and cognac colored riding boots, but I love what you did with it for a cute spring look! I will have to try this look before my bump gets too big to fit in it!
Side note, I'm a nerd and love that song, too! Although, I was 5 when it came out, but I knew it then :)
I'm loving this dress on you! And I totally used to be obsessed with Days of Our Lives... Marlena was my favorite!

You look just as adorable as ever!

Thank you so much!
Oh, Marlena was my favorite too! Remember that summer she got buried alive? BEST story line EVER!
I wore it the same way during the fall! It's very versatile :)
Glad to know I'm not the only little one who loved this song! Nerds of the world unite!
Agh! The home perm! I had quite a few of those myself! Love it :)
Thank you for all the kind words and for reminiscing with me :)
Well, then my kid ought to be awesome ;) He loves TV, but he comes by ot naturally because I love it too! However, I know lots of kids who were like you and had very restricted TV watching- I would have died!
Thank you!
I love this belt. I wore it a TON during the fall! My stepmom watched GH so I'm fairly well-versed there too!
90210 was the BOMB! I watched in in 5th grade- totally inappropriate- and I remember when Melrose Place came out and the commercial said "Mondays are a bitch!" and I thought that was the coolest thing EVER!

Ohh, thanks for this! I used to love this song!! Would have been the end of Jr High/beginning of High School for me when it came out.
Very cute dress!
Man! What a time to be a teenager :)
Ha. I used to watch the stories with my big momma while growing up. I remember when Carly was buried alive by Vivian in the 90s and when Ricky Martin was dancing it up on GH.
