Sneaky

Here's a montage of crappy pictures. This is what your photos look like when you sneak behind the local H.H. Gregg with your husband on his lunch break... to take pictures. Big concrete buildings on the edge of cliffs, not unlike a modern day castle, I suppose, create amazing wind tunnels. I'm just not sure how to take good photos in wind tunnels. My hair sticks in my lip gloss. My bangs poke my eyes. Every rustling piece of garbage sounds like someone walking up to see what exactly you are doing behind H.H. Gregg.

Did you know the past tense of sneak is actually sneaked, not snuck? Snuck is getting more and more colloquially used, but it's not really a word. Don't believe me? Take a second and type both in the comment section or in a Word document. Sneaked is left alone. Snuck however? Big angry red underline under that sucker. How could you need more proof? So there's your grammar lesson for the day. Hey, I must keep my skills sharpened somehow over summer break!

Tank Top and Skirt- Old Navy (last year)
Wedges- Kohl's

Finally, because I might as well end this random post with more random information, my theatre group voted down Zombie Romeo and Juliet in favor of a comedy starring a group of Marilyn Monroe impersonators. Included in the cast will be a very sweet Russian guy who doesn't speak much English and may not exactly understand what he's going to be doing (wearing a dress and pretending to be a Marilyn impersonator). We are nothing but classy! I assure you it had nothing to do with the fact that their illustrious director (guess who!) could get her hands on four Marilyn Monroe costumes. Nothing at all!

Thanks for the grammar lesson :) Love that skirt, especially paired with the coral tank. Marilyn Monroe impersonators? Sounds interesting, haha...can't wait to hear how that goes! Have a great weekend Katie :)

I didn't know you were in a theatre group. How fun! I hate taking pictures in the wind. My hair always gets stuck in my lip gloss. You look cute though!

That play sounds awesome. Much better than zombie R&J. I'm actually going to a drag themed birthday party this weekend (don't worry, I'll take pictures). Coral is such a great color on you, so I'm glad you keep featuring it:)

YES, I love seeing you in coral! Your skirt just screams FUN and looks perfect on you. Um, I was really looking forward to hearing about Zombie Romeo and Juliet. Dead people walking around plus a depressing love story, I mean that is like the best combo! Ok, fine, I'm done being disappointed now! :)

Wait, whaaat? You mean I've been sounding like an idiot all this time by saying snuck? Sneaked just seems so wrong.

I don't know what you're talking about, these pics are great! I especially love the one with your arm up and bent like a statue :) And I know what you mean about the rustling garbage - I always jump when I hear something rolling around. It's even more intense when you're by yourself!

So clearly HH Gregg is where all photoshoots should happen lol. The shots are great! BTW, if you come up to H&M we should get together! Let me know :)

Marylin Monroe impersonators is totally a better idea than zombie Romeo and Juliet!

I love that coral tank top! I'm always looking for tanks with fun details yet I always managed to find ones that gap funny or show off my bra after being after the first washing. Oh the woes of finding a good tank top.

I love the bright colors on you, Katie! I hate taking photos in the wind too...my hair always looks like such a mess. I know snuck isn't a word but I still say it :) Have a great weekend!

Ha ha, I feel your pain! I live right downtown Toronto, and the whole area is a giant wind tunnel! In most of my blog pics, my hands are on my face or head trying to keep my hair out of my face, or my clothing looks terrible because the wind is blowing it into a big bubble on my stomach or back. It's awful! I'll take like 40 pictures and I only have 1 to show for it!

Love your skirt! The colors are fabulous!!!

Where did you happen to find four Marilyn costumes?! Marilyn will be so much fun and far more interesting than Zombie R&J. I love this outfit and need to start tucking shirts in more, it really defines your waist!

I have so many totally failed outfit photos, I think I have entire days worth of photos that have just never gone up because they are so terrible. Maybe I could make a feature out of it; style blogging fails, it'd be like You've Been Framed.

I also cannot believe snuck isn't a word, sneaked just doesn't sound right xo

i want to see the marilyn extravaganza! its the most wonderful campest thing i have ever heard of! it is genius!! lovely coral - you know we love you in coral and i love the skirt, i heart stripes so much - you coped well in the wind tunnel - wind and lip gloss are a modern dilemma for women - i still wear it and end up smeared with the stuff (dont care tho!) x

You look pretty graceful in that wind regardless! I hate when my hair sticks to my lips, which is why I rarely wear gloss and only lipstick! Love the coral shoes!

haha That was me the other day. If it wasn't the wind, it was shadows of trees falling across my face. Blogger problems! lol You look great though! I love all the colors!

Katie, this was such a fun post! I hate when my hair gets stuck on my lip gloss! Today was such a day. I thought I look fabulous rockin' my neon pink lipstick until a gust of wind through my lion mane on my über shiny lips. I don't think I need to tell you what happened next. Neon pink lip gloss everywhere! Sigh. I simply cannot pull off looking pulled together! :)
