I really thought I was swearing off skinny jeans, but I wanted to match my clothes to my nails, so I shimmied into a pair from last fall. Just the fact that I could comfortably wear a pair of skinny jeans outside speaks volumes. The weather was PERFECT.
I spent WAY more time than I should admit giving myself a manicure on Saturday. Sean was with my parents; Curtis was at a football game; it was a great time to sit down and primp. My friend Heather sent me some Jamberry Nail Shields to try out, and I am just a hopeless mess when it comes to nails. This is the reason why I rarely wear polish. However, you know how obsessed I am with birds, so I couldn't resist trying out the sweet little bird print. The shields are supposed to last 2-3 weeks, with proper application, and while it was a little tricky to get the hang of, I know if I can do it, then anyone can!

I love having time to primp! I tried out the Sally Hansen nail stickers a few weeks ago and I was really disappointed because they chipped after one day. How are those stickers holding up?

I'm so terrible at painting my nails. I typically stick to very light neutral shades or glitter polish because it's much harder to see the mistakes in those! Looks like y'all had a fun sunday:)
Is it me or is your little guy all you in the shape of the eyes and nose? Wow! So so cute!
The weather was perfect here too. 81 during the day and 48 overnight. I can smell fall in the air!
I have no nail ideas as I rarely paint my nails. But my friend has been getting the gel manicures and she cleans without gloves, does dishes and works with her hands and it's lasting her about 3 weeks at a shot. I have been thinking about trying that.

LOVE LOVE your nails! I am obsessed with nail polish! I actually bought a nice new color today in Target! I haven't tried the Sally Hansen stick on nail art thingys and I have never heard of Jamberry Nail shields before but I am now enroute to their website. Especially since I can't post on my blog. Stupid hacker...grrrr
I'm so excited that it's getting cooler. This weekend I wore shorts and was actually a little cold... isn't that awesome?

That looks like a really great park. I took my kids to our local park yesterday and promised to take them again later in the week. The weather is soooo perfect!
I HAVE to keep my nails painted. Otherwise, I bite them and then they really look a mess! Even though they show chips more, I love dark colors. My current fave is a pewter gray. :)
You guys look like you had a ball! Your son is a cutie! I get Gel nails and they last 2-3 weeks. They never chip or peel (unless you peel them, like I do! LOL). Its a great way to keep your nail color.

As he gets older he looks more and more like his dad, but he is definitely mostly me ;) Our baby photos are interchangeable though- you can't tell us apart (well, except the clothes). I can definitely smell fall and I am so excited!

They didn't last for two weeks, but I feel confident with the CORRECT application and practice that they could totally last for 2-3 weeks. They are very durable!
