Would You Like Extra Mustard on That?

I think this chambray dress I bought from Old Navy is probably one of the most worn items on my blog (and most loved). It was one of the very first outfits I blogged way back in October of last year, and it remains a favorite. I have worn it over three seasons, and I am always finding new things to pair it with. Well worth the $20 or so it cost me.

Chambray Dress- Old Navy (Similar- Plus Size and ON SALE, similar, similar)
Mustard Heels- Payless (Similar, Similar, Similar, Similar)

I've been moaning and groaning non-stop about the weather lately, and I finally realized it's because I've been wearing the same dang stuff since February and March. I am ready to get rid of everything and buy new stuff.  So scroll through and if there's anything you want (except this dress!), make an offer. I'm so over it. Especially my dresses!! By the way, I'm totally not kidding.

When I think fall, I think mustard. My obsession continues, clearly. I bought the shoes at Payless back in the winter and still love them dearly. I loved pairing the denim with mustard. I hope you love it too, because you are going to see it. A LOT.

I have loved all the various shades of mustard since the 80's! LOL! It comes and goes, but it works so well with so many things that it almost never disappears entirely, it just goes to accessories rather than garments. I had a mustard handbag that I wore entirely out a few years ago, it made absolutely everything I wore look more pulled together and polished.

Love it. Looks nice and flattering on you and like the pop of mustard.

Love how you styled this dress! The touches of mustard are so cute :) And those shoes!!! I want!!!

I know exactly what you mean, I am SO sick of dressing for warm weather. Can I just throw my dresses and skirts out the window and pull out the boots already?

Love how the mustard accessories look with the dress! I'm dying to go on a shopping spree for fall clothes...I'm getting so sick of my summer ones!

Love this outfit! I am going to have to pair my mustard shoes with my chambray dress and copy it:) I am hoping the weather we've been having in Boston this week continues. Highs in the low 70s mean I can layer without burning up, but it's not too chilly for my sandals and flats. I am trying not to shop very much this season, but it has been fun to pull out some old favorites that I haven't worn in a few months.

I love this dress on you, I can see why it's one of your favorites. And I agree about the mustard color, it's so fabulous for fall. Confession: I don't have any mustard colored items. I know. I can hardly believe it myself. Looks like a shopping trip is in my future!

I love mustard, so I am totally with you on this. I also love the chambray dress! I used to have one, but it didn't fit me right, so I got rid of it. I need a replacement!

So I love that dress! I was really sad when it didn't fit me right but I like to see all the ways that YOU style it! :)

Such a cute way to style chambray! I'm still a little scared of wearing mustard, but you're changing my mind. :)
And if you're sick of your dresses, does that mean you get to go shopping and get some pretty new ones? ;) Hey, it is your birthday month ...

I have yet to own anything chambray but reading things like this makes me feel like I'm missing out. The mustard does go incredibly well with it, by the way. (:

This mustard color looks good with chambray!

I love the mustard... I still haven't picked up too many mustard things for fall. I need to get on that.

Love the denim dress & mustard accents, especially the belt! Youve inspired me to try this combo with a pair of leopard print shoes!

I'm still obsessed with yellow too. Annnnnd, yup, ditto about the weather and the clothes. But I'm trying to take it in stride and be grateful for the weather. However, fall is my favorite season and it's SO HARD to have it delayed for so long!

I went looking for a mustard-color cardigan yesterday and ended up with a teal open knit grandpa cardigan. The mustard makes my skin very yellow, no matter how badly I want to wear it. I guess it will be just an accessories color for me :(

I can see how you like that dress, its so pretty and versatile! I love how you added the mustard accents!

I just cleaned out my closet (I probably should not have things 8 years old. They are not classic or well made even!) and totally can sympathize!

You look fantastic in this though. Cambrey is something that won't go out of style.

I'm totally gonna go shopping. Seriously, I've been wearing the same 7 Old Navy dresses since last fall! I think I've earned a few new ones!

Hems for Her, a.k.a. Katie said...

I really loved the other one they had in stock at the time, but even the largest size they carried wouldn't button across my bust, so this was second choice. However, it has been awesome!

ME TOO!!! I'm so over all these summer clothes. Seriously.

Do you think if we do that, then Mother Nature will take pity on us? There were a couple of gals in boots this week down here, but I just would have died.

I understand! Hate everything I own that is work-related clothing right now. I get so mad every morning that I can't wear a form of jeans, boots and a blazer to work.
And your legs look amazing in wedges. Seriously!

Katie, would you believe I wore a mustard colored tee today? I have to say I didn't think I would like the color, but I love it! The Significant Other liked it too. I think I'll have to look online to see if I can find a mustard colored cardi. Any ideas where I can get one? And I love the chambray dress on you! Twenty bucks? Really? Now that's what I call a steal! :)
