Blending In

I'm not going to go into details, but I did something kinda stupid at work the other day. I've been trying to lay low and not draw any attention to myself, so when I got up this morning to dress, I knew I wanted to wear something dark and low-key. I don't think it's a boring outfit at all, but it's a little more subdue than my usual Friday flair. Before I started blogging, my closet was filled to the brim with black pants and black shirts and gray sweaters. I wanted to blend in. I wanted to be invisible.

Now it's a little tougher, because even my "boring, safe" clothes have a little bit of fashion and fun. The top has a great print and a cute bow at the neck. The pants and sweater are fitted. I'm wearing funky bracelets and crazy hair. But I guess I did a pretty good job of blending in. No one bothered me. And I was dressed comfortably. It's a win-win. And one day I'm going to learn to think before I speak ;)

We've all been there, chica... and you're rockin' the look, even if it is out of the canary yellow norm.

I actually really like this outfit. It's good to have things in your closet that can be extremely professional, but still show your personality. Also your new hair cut/ color is fantastic!

Sounds like your attempt at camouflage worked, and it was stupendously cute, too. I really like the floral print and fit of that top on you. :)

Glad someone else understands what I mean. I cringe to think about some of the things I wore 2 or 3 years ago. I am just some much more pulled together now!
