These two wild and crazy kids went to a steakhouse AND a book store on Friday night. Out of control, right? I loved pairing this top with a casual pair of skinny jeans for a fun date night, but it would be even more beautiful dressed up with a pencil skirt and stilettos for a holiday party or New Year's Eve. We are boring too. We have access to free (grandparents) childcare but we don't use it. We even spent our wedding anniversary with the kids (Finding Nemo 3D and dinner at Chilis). I honestly don't remember the last time we went out just the two of us.
We do, however, put our kids to bed by 8:00 every night so that we can have a few hours to ourselves. During that time we watch TV, play board games (we have a huge collection of European style games), talk, and other grown-up stuff :).
We are planning a date night soonish - to see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. So excited for that!

You look fantastic! Love the glitzy top with jeans:) Because I am someone who is more likely to be found at a dive than a club, I've noticed my wardrobe is lacking in sparkle. I've gone to a few cocktail attire events lately and I struggled to get an outfit together. I need to invest in a versatile piece like that top.
Last date night we....Had Mexican food and went to Walmart. Roger purchased a
Monster energy drink and I bought makeup brushes. Exciting! Not. lol. BUT we did detour through their Garden Center which is decked out for Xmas and it really put us in the Xmas spirit. If we weren't house-hunting we'd totally have decorated already!

Last date night we ate at a local seafood restaurant and used our Groupon to go see a movie. We are pretty boring too. Lots of chores and To Do List type stuff being done with our free time. Plus, we love to be homebodies now too. I'd much rather stay home and play video games with the husband than go out to some bar or club or what have you. But then I need places to wear my sequins to, so I end up being the sparkliest girl at the grocery store. lol

I was definitely a little nervous, but I think the dull gold helps it from being too flashy, and they are tiny tiny sequin, almost like mesh or something!
