I've had this striped blazer for a while now, and I realized I had never featured it on the blog. Blazers are tricky for a busty, plus-sized woman. I always feel like Chris Farley in the movie Tommy Boy ("Fat Guy in a Little Coat", anybody?!). Constrained, strapped in, straight jacket- none of those things are good for anyone, but for a teacher would spends a lot of time writing on the board, they are insurmountable obstacles.
And then Chris introduced me to the magic of ponte blazers. If you don't own any ponte pieces- most popular include dresses, skirts, and blazers- do yourself a favor and buy some. Ponte is amazing. It's a tightly woven polyester knit, so it keeps a great shape and NEVER wrinkles. Really, I can't think of anything more perfect. I really friggin' hate wrinkles and I refuse to iron anything. Pitiful, I know!

And oh my goodness, Tommy Boy is such a funny movie! Thanks for reminding me... I haven't seen it in years. I love when he says "Does this jacket make me look fat?" "No, but your face does!" Aw, RIP Chris Farley.
I have a stretchy blazer too. It's like a fancy sweatshirt.

Ponte is my favorite, especially for pencil skirts- I can size down to fit my waist, and the skirt will stretch over my hips and thighs!
You look adorable. I love the stripes with the red! I have always had problems with that too. I love linen blazers, but they do not like to fit right on my shoulders! You look lovely and put together as always.

Love that blazer, I have one from the Dress Barn (of all places) that looks just like it. My owl sweater came from Old Navy today, I can't wait to see your fox one!
Cute, cute, cute!! I love a stretchy fabric that holds its shape. I have two of the exact pairs of jeans from Old Navy and can wear them three of four times before they looked stretched out. Gotta love that!

Ha ha, ponte is pretty amazing! I agree, blazers are really tricky for curvy women. I have the hardest time finding a blazer that fits perfectly, and I usually have to get it altered. You certainly look fabulous in that blazer. I just love the stripes!

I too have a striped ponte knit blazer. Ponte knit is so comfortable & stretchy BUT it keeps its shape. Im a huge fan of pretty much anything with ponte in it!
Your blazer looks great on you! And it doesn't wrinkle!?! Doesn't get much better than that in my book. Love your red flats too, they are so adorable :)
