Splurge or Save: Fringed Boots
When I saw these amazing Minnetonka boots on Tieka of Selective Potential, I knew I needed them in my life. But I wasn't thrilled with the nearly $100 price tag. However, I found this look-a-like from the Lauren Conrad line at Kohl's for half the price. And dare I say that I think the LC version is a little cuter?

I had bought a pair of very similar looking boots at Wally World form the Miley Cyrus/Max Azria collection, but was so disappointed because they were made so poorly. I know they were like, $15 but I expected them to hold up more than a week!I love the LC ones more. The texture is a little smoother looking. I like suede, but not fuzzy suede! It just looks cheap and Minnetonka isn't cheap (to me.) Very good find!

Sometimes, I'm a impulse buyer and I'm pretty sure in this instance I would've splurged and bought the Minnetonka boots. I have to say the Kohl's boots look pretty awesome though. Can't wait to see how you styled them.

The Kohl's version looks like it is of much better quality, too. Definitely cute.
Any recommendations for boots for wide calf girls? I am dieing for a pair of riding boots, but can't find any to fit.
Great find! Did you try on the Minnetonka ones by any chance? I've been planning to order a pair with a gift card I won in a giveaway, but I'm worried the calves won't fit!

I had a pair of Minnetonka boots YEARS ago, and they were wonderful, so it would have been a worthy splurge!
I think the quality on the LC boots is super. And the sole seems much sturdier on the LC!

Yep! Yet again I think the splurge item is cuter. LC's are a better color and I like the base better. They look more comfy too! Kohls for the win :)
It does indeed. I'm putting these on my Xmas list.
I have always loved the way Minnetonka's look, but I have never bought any because they have absolutely no arch support. Looks like maybe the knock-offs do.
