| See that apple necklace and those cute golden apples on my top? They inspired today's post. That will be important later! |
So this is a totally random post today, but between the cold that has knocked me on my butt this week and the craziness of closing out the school semester, I am running pretty low on coherent thoughts. When I was in 8th grade, I decided I was going to be a singer. Hey, I was in 5th grade choir, so I was practically a trained professional. In the shower I would practice my singing and my future Grammy award acceptance speech. Things were pretty legit.

I also spent a lot of time imagining and planning out my album cover and name- you know, this was before iTunes when people actually looked at album covers and names. I was going to name my awesome debut album "One Bad Apple". Yep. Digest it. Embrace it. Love it.
So "One Bad Apple" was going to have a bad ass cover, of course. It involved me in a super-futuristic outfit (think silver aluminum foil-type pleated mini skirt and a baby doll tee - mid- 90s, y'all!) climbing a ladder to pick apples from a tree. The tree was going to be silver and robotic looking and the apples were going to be golden. Ironically, in this tree full of golden apples, I was going to be picking the one perfectly ripe, perfectly red apple. Oh, eighth grade Katie, you were so edgy and cool ;)
I wish I had Elena's artistic ability, so I could provide an illustration- can I commission a piece, Elena? (And go congratulate her on her exciting news!)

Haha, it's never too late! Please work on releasing "One Bad Apple" just so I can see this magical cover! :D
You look so cute in yellow, and all the little apples in your outfit are adorable.
I haven't told you this yet, but I LOVE your hair! You look so bad ass! :)

Great story! One Bad Apple is an awesome name for an album!
Your outfit is super cute! You're looking good girl. ; )
Love this outfit. Wish I could find that apple top, but may scoop up the jeans.
You look so cute and your story is just hilarious. I think when I was young I thought I was going to be a singer too. Actually I still do and I still practice my grammy speech. :)
I hope Elena totally does an illustration for you!

It's been awhile since I've visited, your hair looks fantastic! Welcome to the short hair crew.
Ok, can we just talk about how amazing your hair looks in these pictures. Also your album cover sounds RAD!
Wow! These pictures are phenomenal, some of the best yet! You look so slim too!
I love this outfit on you and love your sense of style. You look fantastic in yellow! I'm a dark haired brunette and I love yellow, but sadly, it doesn't look as good on me as it does on you. I've tried many times to make it work on me, but it just washes me out. My skin tone is very ruddy-pink and my hair has more of a golden cast to it, so I tend to look good in reds, burgundies, purples and some greens, but yellow is a color that just doesn't work on me. Bummer! I love that ON top, too. I'm just sized out of any ON straight sizes. I'm just a tad too big for their XXL, so I have to stick with plus sizes on top, and sadly, they don't have as many cute print tops for the gals who need 1 and 2X's as they do for the XXLs. Otherwise I'd be currently spending any extra money I have on the cute print tops ON currently has in their straight sizes. They're adorable, but sadly, too small for me.
I love how eighth-grade Katie thought! :) "One Bad Apple" - priceless. :)
So excited that you're wearing your mustard cardigan ... I picked up a yellow cardigan recently and have been wondering how to style it. Looks great with the trouser jeans, fun printed top and awesome-as-usual shoes.
I wouldve totally bought your album! LOL
You look so cute in your wonderfully yellow outfit!
you are looking sassy with your haircut! I am still loving it!

I love this outfit! It's just my style. Also, the post shows why you need to write a book. Your fashion blog rocks because you don't just show pictures of your outfits you tell your audience these awesome stories too. So glad I found this blog!
