Olive Spring

Do you see that little bit of green peeking through the ground in these pictures? Do you know what that is? That's proof that spring is finally on her way. After months of muddling through the dreary winter season, spring is so close! Have you seen all the cute spring dresses popping up ever where?? I am dying to buy all of them, but trying to stick to my budget.

Dress- Old Navy /Last Season (similar, similar, maxi length)
Sweater- Old! (similar, similar plus size,  similar)
Boots- Old (links to boots here!)

So, I went digging through my closet looking for dresses that had been long forgotten and found this one. I wore this baby like crazy during the summer months. It was like reuniting with an old friend! It was also a wonderful reminder that the school year is drawing to a rapid close and the freedom of summer is looming ahead of me.

Is it crazy that a dress can make you feel so much?

Clothes do that for me too! It's gotta be the sense-memory thing. I do love this dress on you with the new hair and the sweater. You are so beautiful! It always seems effortless with you and I admire that about you!

That dress looks really cute layered with the cozy sweater! I can't wait for spring! It's definitely still way too cold for summer dresses here :(

Did you get a trim? I love the faux hawk. You are looking particularly svelte in this dress as well. You look beautiful!

It's not weird...I usually feel that way in the fall, when it's time to dig out sweaters and scarves and tights after 5 months of it being stupidly hot. I also feel that way in the late spring when I can switch to wearing sandals (ok fine flip-flops) again.

How lucky spring is on it's way for you! (um, we will not see that till May and then it will go straight to hot, hot summer). You look very nice in green. It makes the color of your hair even richer.

I really like the look of a dress paired with boots. You look great! And I am all for spring coming early!! We've had a pretty mild winter, but I'm always happy once it's over. I'm sure you can imagine how white I am after 8 months of being covered up. haha =)

Love this outfit! Very bohemian and it suits you well :) Spring cannot come fast enough - I'm ready for pastels, open-toed shoes (and a much needed pedicure to go with them), and sunshine!

I too have been looking longingly at my summer dresses. I am really tired of doing that awkward dance every morning to get into my tights...haha.

Love that color on you! It has been snowing here for the last two days, so it's nice to look at your pictures and daydream of spring! :)

I'm not a big dress person but even if I were it would be pointless to think about wearing a dress right now... we just got hit with a ton of snow! I'm over it already!

Hey woman! I've been somewhat MIA and completely missed that you cut your hair - it looks fantastic!!! Hope you have a great trip to San Francisco and I need to read through your recent posts and see what else you've been up to!

I totally understand that a dress can make you feel so much! That happens to me as well. You look great in this olive dress and I'm so happy that spring is finally coming for you! The rainy season is coming close for us here in Panama... I kind of like the rain though, so its all good :)

I love the cream and olive together, it looks lovely (as does your hair, by the way)!

I've been missing wearing dresses too, I'm so looking forward to warmer days!

Totally love this dress!! Sending some love from the encouragement of putting me together, so glad you mentioned digging through the closet for dresses, I am now 26 weeks along in my pregnancy, and sometimes have the idea that my regular clothes should fit me, but then they can't and don't but I have found two dresses that still do!! They make me feel amazing, and when I have worn them, I get some great compliments. It is amazing how a dress can make you feel!
