Floral Denim: Plus Size Edition

I'm not sticking my tongue out at you, I promise! Just my photographer for making fun of my posing.
Top- Target (exact- only $10!)
Printed Denim- Target (exact plus size- Only $11.48!)
Reader-friends (like sister-wives... I hate just calling you readers, but I can't stomach to call you "lovies" or "darlings" or whatever) often ask about my camera and photographer. One of the reasons I talked my husband into a DSL camera was with the promise I'd be able to use a remote and tripod to take all my photos and then I wouldn't have to bother him, or anyone else for that matter.

Well, like most things involving technology, it has proven difficult for me. I'm not particularly good at photography, nor am I particularly patient enough to  learn to be good. So over a year later, my sweet, sometimes aggravating husbands takes probably 90% of my pictures. In the past 1 1/2 years of blogging, I've taken more photos of myself than I did in the previous 29 years of my life. It can get awkward. I figure since my husband has seen me give birth, he can handle some fashion blogging awkwardness a couple of times a week!

I was late to jump on the floral print denim craze of the last year because I didn't want to spend the money on something that I figured would look awful. However, Target has this pair on sale for under $12, so I figured it was time to take the plunge. I'm still not sure what top to pair with them, so if you and a blogger you read have posted floral jeans, please leave the link in the comments below!

Don't you love awkward photos of awkward feet... second shot this week! You're welcome :)
Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

I think you did just fine with your white tee! Since they are so bold, you did the right thing starting simple. Maybe after you are more comfortable try pairing them with a coordinating striped or polka dot top for some fun pattern mixing?

What a cute pair of floral pants! Love the bright colors. And yes, if Curtis has seen you give birth, I think he can handle some awkward poses :D

Love the pants! You look super cute! As soon as they came back in style all I could think of was a pair of black floral leggings I wore in jr. high. Soo funny how things come back in fashion about 20 years (gulp!) later. I've tried on a couple pairs, but no luck yet. Target should be, finally, opening here next month and I'm really hoping they have the clothing selection they do in the States. They'd better! lol

I'd pair them with any solid color top or a top with a small polka dot print. I think stripes might be too busy looking. Just my opinion. Have a great weekend!! =)

Your floral pants are so cute! I've been wanting a pair so I have to check these out at Target. I think you can pair them with any color that's in the pants...pink, teal, etc. Your hubby does an amazing job with your photos...they always look like they came out of a magazine!

So, I'm not 100% on board with printed denim, but OMG OMG I LOVE YOUR PANTS. The colors are gorgeous, they fit you perfectly, and you look confident and comfortable in them! I pretty much just love you.

You're always so adorable. These jeans totally work on you.

Favourite line in a blog to date: "I figure since my husband has seen me give birth, he can handle some fashion blogging awkwardness a couple of times a week!"

My partner takes a lot of my photos too. I also live in a really neighbourly neighbourhood so some photos have been taken by my local shop keepers who have known me for over 20 years.

god, I've felt so awkward anytime I ask anyone to take my pictures so I just do them myself. but no one has seen me give birth though so maybe I need to do that to get past it ;)

I got floral pants from Target for $12 too! I did a post about the 6 ways to wear them as like a challenge thing but who knows if any of them are actually good ideas:

Cute!!!!! Teal, pink, orange (any of the colors in the pants), along with olive or navy would be excellent!

Love your sandals. The outfit is gorgeous as well. You can use and of the colours in the pants as a solid for the top or you could be bold and mix prints with a stripe top, but either use black and white or stick as closely as possible to the colours in the pants for the stripes. I have yet to wear the floral pants but I am gonna be buying one from forever21 this week and I am planning on using it in this was: http://charlyn87.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/flower-power.html

I seem to rope my sister into taking pictures of me whenever I'm not at home.
I've been very hesitant about the floral pants trend. Now that I know I can try it for less than $20, I might join in...might. ;)

I like the simple white top, and I bet a chambray shirt would look great with the floral denim!

Those jeans look amazing on you! I also waited on the floral jean trend and just bought myself a pair on sale a couple weeks ago. I haven't worn it yet but am thinking of pairing it with a silky neutral colored top.

I haven't gotten any floral jeans yet, though I'm on the lookout for a good pair. You look fabulous! I think the simple top goes well with the jeans, anything that's super interesting on its own might make the whole outfit a bit too much for everyday wear :)

I have yet to find a pair of floral jeans that I like. Im glad you have at such a GREAT price! I take my own blog pics which is very liberating. It took me a sec to figure things out but now Im an old pro!

You look adorable in this outfit!

Those jeans look great!! I find it interesting that it seems easier to pair things with floral skirts then it is with jeans. As soon as the print is in trouser from its "Woah! I'm not comfortable with that". So I'd just pretend its a skirt and wear whatever I'd wear with a skirt. But saying all this has made realise that I do not own a floral skirt or floral jeans, so maybe I should just sit down and keep quiet for now :P.
