Yellow Pants: Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

I know no one cares about the weather really, but I celebrated Cinco de Mayo in pants and a long-sleeved chambray top... this is nearly unheard of in the deep South. The entire weekend was a gross, rainy mess- perfect for napping and lazing around. Our town doesn't serve alcohol on Sundays, so there were no margaritas for us. Just grocery shopping and nasty Chinese buffet food. Sad day.

I did brighten things up with my sunny yellow skinny jeans, however. I've had them for a while now, but I hadn't worn them because of my issues with pairing tops with bright pants. Since it was cold enough for pants, I know it would be perfect for my chambray top.

You know what else is perfect with chambray button-ups? Pearls. I got this necklace last week, and I have literally worn it with everything. It is so versatile.

And don't judge me if it's still raining this morning and I pretty much wore the exact same outfit again, ok?

Chambray and colored denim are a match made in heaven! You look great!

I have to say, it's a bit bizarre to here there are still towns that don't serve/sell alcohol on Sunday. Kind of like the "old days". I like it! =) Have a fantastic week!

Yellow jeans def would brighten up a rainy day! And no alcohol on Sundays? Boo. Some of the towns in Northern NJ have laws against stores being open on Sundays but luckily not where I live! I want to be able to shop 7 days a week :)

You've inspired my outfit for tomorrow - chambray shirt ( Asos Curve), mango colored jeans (Wit and Wisdom from Nordstrom), a chartreuse tank (Simply Be), all tied together with a scarf with some of the colors, and light tan loafers or wedges depending on the weather near San Francisco. I may chicken out on the tank tomorrow and substitute a white one, but we'll see...Thanks - you are truly inspiring!!!

This is so freaking cute! I love it! The shows are great too. And the necklace really looks great with all of it. While you had kooky rain, we had kooky sun - like 90 degree weather. Usually it is chilly and rainy still at this time of year. I was thrilled to wear capris and sandals though! :-D

That does sound like a sad day!! Dry counties are so foreign to me. In CA we don't have any, but I remember when I used to drive through Texas, they have quite a few. I think your sunny yellow pants brighten up a glum day though!! Those are on my must have list for summer!!

Great look. I think I would move if my town didn't sell alcohol on Sundays. Or, any days, really. Chicago doesn't start selling on Sunday until 11 AM and I'm like WWWHHHYYY?!
